M. Unvis Han is a senior research associate at the Center for Islam and Global Affairs (CIGA) housed at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (IZU). He is currently completing his Phd at Syracuse University in the Department of Religion. His dissertation focuses on the role of prophecy in modern political thought. His area of specialization covers ilm ul-kalam, philosophy of religion and politics with competence in analytic philosophy of language and postcolonial thought. He is a co-founder of BILDEV, the Foundation for the Study of Science and Thought, a center for advanced studies in kalam, philosophy of science and intellectual history in Turkey.
